Darmstadt stands for academia and research, for art, culture and art nouveau. Despite being one of the prospering commercial centres in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region, Darmstadt is still a pleasant, small city in the middle of Germany surrounded by plenty of nature.

Darmstadt possesses fantastic transport connections, including Frankfurt Airport, which can be reached quickly and easily through various means.

We have three work locations in Darmstadt. One of them is our German headquarters located centrally in the Europahaus building by Darmstadt Main Station. Easy to reach via public and private transport, our colleagues here work on various in-house projects for air and space travel as well as on our individual, central business functions.

Furthermore, two renowned clients of ours are located in close proximity to our headquarters: the European Space Agency, which has its European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) directly around the corner, and the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is around 15 minutes' walk away.

Langen is a medium-sized town in a central location between Darmstadt and Frankfurt am Main, nestled in the lively centre of the Rhine-Main region. Thanks to the proximity to the two cities you can enjoy the big city feeling, and with the neighbouring Forest of Odes area you also don't have to miss out on a rural touch. An important town commercially with a number of companies in the high-tech, communications and IT sectors, we also have a client, the German Air Traffic Control (DFS), located here.

Oberpfaffenhofen is a district in the Upper Bavarian community of Weßling in Starnberg county and belongs to the Fünfseenland region, a popular tourist destination. This recreational area is characterised by an impressive landscape and technologically innovative companies and is located within spitting distance of Munich, being just a bit further south-west.

Our clients the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) with the German Space Operations Centre (GSOC) and the DLR Gesellschaft für Raumfahrtanwendungen mbH are based here.

The metropolis of Cologne has more to offer than its cathedral and the Carnival folk festival. It is a commercial and cultural centre of international importance with numerous broadcasters and media companies being based here, and has a history that goes back more than 2,000 years.

The city is home to the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) as well as the headquarters for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR).

Weilheim, which is situated further south-west of Munich in an idyllic location near the Starnberg Lake, is the home of the DLR's Weilheim satellite ground station. Mountains, lakes, a diverse cultural offering and a mix of urban life and Bavarian hospitality complete this picture.

In Gilching, or rather the Astopark, you will find our branch office. Just 15 km from Munich, our employees in the south of Germany will provide you with local assistance on the spot. Our colleagues based at Spaceopal in Munich and Thales Alenia Space in Ditzingen also have access to this point of contact.

The large majority of our employees work at one or more of the locations described above. However, we also have work locations abroad: some of our colleagues work at the French Space Agency (CNES) in Toulouse, France, at the Fucino Space Center in Italia and at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
