This full-time position is located at our Headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany (hybrid), it has unlimited duration and is available ASAP.

As a NOC Operator, you are responsible to support the management of a Network Operations Center (NOC) dedicated to boosting global connectivity. Employing a monitoring system that reduces operational load by streamlining processes and incorporating automation, you will be part of a team of operators dedicated to the performance of a scaling network.

The position involves work during regular office hours, with occasional on-call support and availability to remotely work outside office hours as needed to support critical events or recovery operations after a network issue.

The main duties include:

  • Conducting daily operational activities of a NOC, maintaining availability and performance of the network
  • Complete network monitoring to include identification, investigation, troubleshooting and analysis of network and IT issues
  • Providing initial incident response (Level 1 & 2), employing corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), escalating issues to technical experts where needed and generating event reports
  • Proactive monitoring for abnormal behavior across the network, raising flags promptly
  • Prioritizing activities according to customer SLAs and operational impact
  • Close coordination with the customer’s service desk to ensure alerts are properly registered in the ticketing system, responses are timely and remediation statuses are communicated
  • Amending the configuration of the monitoring system (e.g. threshold changes due to false positive alerts)
  • Maintaining the technical documentation database related to the customer network


  • A technical degree in telecommunications or IT
  • Previous experience in an operational environment

Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies
  • A pro-active problem solving approach and analytical mind-set
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English

Desirable Skills

  • ITIL certification 
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
