Telespazio Germany has provided support services to the DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (DFS) for more than 15 years.
Our experts have been involved in a wide range of different Air Traffic Management (ATM) projects, large and small, in numerous different roles – from providing software maintenance services for legacy ATM systems, to consultancy services and software development for the latest generation systems. We also have dedicated software test engineers working hand-in-hand with the development teams on these projects – together with Quality Assurance experts to guide and monitor progress.

Next Generation ATM System
This ATM system is increasingly used to control all en-route flights in German airspace from the DFS Karlsruhe centre. The aim of the project is the production of common ATC system components that can be integrated into the overall ATM systems of all the participants of a European collaboration, which both facilitates interoperability with adjacent ATM service providers and supports the introduction of future advanced ATM and Flight Data Processing (FDP) concepts. The Flight Data Processing (FDP) subsystems provide the functionality and the components inherited from prior DFS ATM systems, but are modified and enhanced to modernise the ATC environment. This includes 4D-Trajectory calculations, Medium Term Conflict Detection (MTCD), Automatic Correlation, etc. The system also provides the necessary HMI front ends for the system users, including displays for the controller working positions (CWP), as well as the flight data operator position and operational system supervisor positions. System support for adaptation production, data recording, overall monitoring, control and communications capabilities are also included in this segment.

UTM / U-space
The Traffic Management system supports safe integration of unmanned vehicles (drones) and air-taxis in the airspace. We are developing UTM software and are also involved in shaping the European Concept of Operations for U-space.
Drone Detection at Airports
We support the development and execution of in-situ tests to analyse the performance of drone detection systems at German airports. More information about drone dectection

The DFS tracker system, which is deployed in many locations worldwide.
AMAN
Arrival Manager system, which comes in several versions and is also deployed at airports throughout the world in different configurations.
Safetynet-Next Generation
A system that will provide air traffic controllers with important tools to help ensure safe operations. This new system replaces a number of existing tools.
ATCAS
The legacy ATC Automation System, which was the workhorse system for air traffic controllers for many years.
Shared Virtual Sky (SVS) Gateway
A system that connects and interoperates with ATC simulators of European ANSPs; developed and successfully used in the context of the SESAR project for interoperability of ATC Systems in Europe.
Operational Support Systems
We support numerous Operational Support Systems used by DFS for daily operations.
Position Information Gateway System
We provide support to the client FRAPORT in the form of a Position Information Gateway system – together with the ongoing support and maintenance activities.
